Training Practice.
There will be doctors in training grades joining the practice team as of 2024.
This means that qualified junior doctors working in hospital, who have decided to train further to become General Practitioners will be placed at DeWinton Field practice for 6-12 months at a time.
They are fully qualified doctors who are working in a training position and are supervised by the senior GP's at the practice.
When you book a GP appointment you may be booked in to see a training GP.
Teaching Practice.
DeWinton Field Practice is proud to be a teaching practice associated with Cardiff University.
We often have medical and nursing students attached to the practice from the surrounding university campuses.
The students will be at various points in their training and will often be seen in the consulting rooms observing the medical staff.
If you prefer not to have a student observing your consultation please discuss this with the reception staff when booking your appointment .
